Key Responsibilities
- Interpret spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa to promote understanding during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events.
- Collaborate with educators to adapt communication approaches based on individual student needs.
- Provide real-time interpreting services in high school classrooms, extracurricular activities, and special programs.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interpreting assignments.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications And Experience
- Proficiency in American Sign Language with demonstrated interpreting experience, preferably in an educational setting.
